
Subscription Sales Representative
Be a part of Pennsylvania Ballet's exciting 2011-2012 Subscription Campaign!
The Pennsylvania Ballet is seeking experienced part time sales representatives for our 2011/12 season ticket sales campaign. Our hours of operation are 5-9pm Monday-Friday and 10am-2pm on Saturday. Each representative is required to work 4 shifts (16 hours) per week. Although sales experience is required, prior knowledge of ballet is not, as we provide you with everything you need to know.
You must be very enthusiastic about the performing arts! Your pay is supplemented with ballet merchandise and complimentary ballet tickets. We have a highly cohesive and talented staff that operates out of the Ballet's office in Center City next to the Comcast building, and is accessible to numerous forms of public transportation. Basic computer skills are required.

Development Department Intern

Pennsylvania Ballet, one of the country's leading ballet companies, is seeking an intern for its Development Department. Candidates should be computer literate and able to work easily with Excel and Microsoft Word. We are seeking a hardworking, responsible person with strong personal skills and a willingness to learn. Knowledge of ballet or performing arts is not necessary.
Tasks will include some maintenance of our Windows-based fundraising database, assistance with Special Events coordination and general support of department initiatives. Applicants must be available to work at least two days a week, plus a few additional nights and weekends during the season. Length and content of internships can be tailored to fit course requirement needs. Benefits include free performance tickets, participation in special events and activities and the opportunity to work with a creative, energetic and fun team of people.

Marketing Intern

Pennsylvania Ballet, one of the country's leading ballet companies, seeks a Marketing Intern each semester (Fall, Spring, and Summer), accepting applications on a rolling basis throughout the year.
The Marketing Intern works closely with all members of the Marketing Department (Marketing Director, Marketing Manager, Public Relations Manager, Group Sales Manager, Graphic Designer, Web & Digital Media Manager, and Boutique Manager).
Responsibilities include:
- Representing Pennsylvania Ballet at publicity events
- Assisting with Pennsylvania Ballet's social media sites
- Brainstorming new marketing initiatives
- Organizing office files (including CD and DVD library)
- Data entry
- Assembling press kits
- Maintaining press clippings and reports
- Assisting with various projects as needed
Skills needed:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Customer service skills
- Friendly disposition/outgoing personality
- Reliability
- Ability to work independently
- Good interpersonal and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and internet applications
- Must be available to work some nights and weekends
- Interest in performing arts a plus
A mutually-agreeable schedule will be devised by the Marketing Intern and the Marketing Department. Interns are compensated with tickets to Pennsylvania Ballet performances.
